RC Tillie I Die

This is based off the mural of Tillie, a painting done on an amusement center in Asbury Park, NJ, in the 1950’s. Since then, Tillie has become synonymous with NJ rock and punk culture, appearing in a wide variety of media over the years. In the early 2000s, demolition of Tillie was slated to occur before a group of passionate residents banded together to save Tillie. Now housed in Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, Tillie is used as the mascot of Asbury Park FC, the greatest team (behind Portland) and also a completely made up team. This Patch was designed alongside the “Greetings from Providence Park” scarf.
